There are several ways to support the students and teachers of the Salem-Keizer Education Foundation. Below you will find a list of specific activities or events that need your talent and contributions. Select an option to view specific volunteer roles and sign up to help. AWESOME 3000: Join 400 of your new best friends to produce one of the largest timed youth runs in the nation. Held the first Saturday in May, the annual Awesome 3000 depends on volunteers like you to keep our runners on the move.
Crystal Apple Awards: Salute our areas finest educators and help us honor the nominees. Join the committee, that puts the sparkle on the Crystal Apple.
Enrichment Academy & POWER: Share your talent with thousands of elementary and middle school students in after school and summer camp experiences.
Gator Brigade: Do you love to act? Love to get hugged? Do you dare to wear green year-round? Then you are needed to help the beloved SKEF mascot, GEO, visit our area schools. If you are interested or know of a great student who could earn some community service hours, please sign up now.
Office Support: We're always looking for smiling faces to help with mailings, supply packets and answering the phones.

Tyler Massey
The Awesome 3000 is more than a timed youth run and fundraiser; it's a community rite of passage for Salem-Keizer students and their families. When asked, it wasn’t difficult for Tyler to explain what he enjoys about it the most.
