Design specifications
- Multi-color design must incorporate an alligator. Our mascot, GEO is of the gator persuasion.
- T-shirt color will be chosen after the winning design is selected.
- The design shall be a maximum size of 8.5 x 11 inches.
- The words Awesome 3000 must be readable and predominant.
- The words Salem-Keizer Education Foundation, and 2010, must be incorporated and legible.
- The words may be computer generated.
- The design may be either a hand drawn original or original computer graphics, but no clipart will be accepted. Teacher signature will be required for computer-generated graphics.
- The artist must sign the design.
- Each entry must have an admission form attached.

1st Prize - $100
2nd Prize - $50
3rd Prize - $25
The Art Department of the First prize students’ school will be awarded $250.
The Awesome 3000 is a time-tested community event for youth and a funding source for the Salem-Keizer Education Foundation’s annual teacher grants. The 2010 Awesome 3000 will be held Saturday May 1, 2009 at McCulloch Stadium in Bush Pasture Park.
The annual Awesome 3000 Art Contest is now open to Salem-Keizer middle or high school students. We are searching for the winning design to appear on runner and volunteer T-shirts, posters, registration forms, and more!
Deadline for the entries is Friday, December 11, 2009. All entries must be postmarked no later than that date. Winners will be notified early January 2010.
Winners are expected to attend the Awesome 3000 and be available to sign autographs on Saturday, May 1, 2009.
