A Countdown to the Awesome 3000!

Hi, my name is Dave Johnson, U.S. Decathalon Olympic Bronze Metalist. My job is to help you get ready. For the next eight weeks you'll get tips on how to train for the Awesome, which is on Saturday, May 1. I'll start you out slow with a little light jogging and walking. Each week, be prepared to add a few minutes to your training program so you become stronger and able to run a little farther. It won't be long before you'll be pinning on your Awesome number and standing on the starting line inside the Willamette University stadium. Best of all, you'll know you're ready to run.

Be sure to check back every week for new training tips!
